The person behind this website

I'm Salman.
I travel cheap.
On purpose.

I started traveling in May 2022 — with hard-saved money from my first job as a Production Supervisor. I graduated in April 2021, spent a year working, and saved up enough to chase a dream I'd had since travelling across India — to visit an international destination, solo, for the first time. Singapore was that trip. ₹35,000 all in. And it changed how I see the world entirely..

Fresh out of college. Zero travel experience. First stop: Singapore.

In May 2022, I boarded my first international flight — solo, scared, and saving every rupee from my first job. No travel experience, no one to guide me, no idea how visas worked. Just me, a backpack, and a plan I had googled myself.

I cracked the Singapore visa alone, stayed in hostels, ate at hawker centres, and did the entire trip for under ₹35,000. Everything included. That trip taught me budget travel isn't about being poor — it's about being brave enough to start.

From Southeast Asia to Europe — always on a budget.

After Singapore, I couldn't stop. Malaysia, Vietnam, Bahrain, Azerbaijan — each trip more ambitious than the last. Then came Europe. Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Denmark, Italy, Spain, Switzerland — countries many Indians dream of but assume are too expensive.

I did them all on a backpacker budget. Hostels, budget airlines, free walking tours, street food, and local transport. No five-star hotels. No Michelin star restaurants. Just real travel.

Visa rejections, lessons learned, and why I write about it all.

Travel isn't always smooth. I've had visa rejections — US B1/B2, Hungary Schengen, Germany Schengen. Each rejection taught me something. Instead of hiding these experiences, I write about them honestly — because no Indian travel blogger talks about visa rejections openly.

I write what I wish someone had told me before my first trip. The real costs. The visa process. The mistakes. The wins. All of it — so you don't have to figure it out alone.

Not your typical travel blog.

No luxury hotels. No sponsored resorts. No pretending travel is easy or cheap without being honest about it. Just real budgets, real experiences, and real talk for Indian travelers who want to see the world — without breaking the bank.

🏨
Hostels, not hotels
We recommend hostels, guesthouses and budget stays. If you need a 5-star hotel, this isn't the right website for you.
🍜
Street food, not fine dining
The best food in the world is cheap and local. We find hawker centres, street stalls and local eateries — not Michelin star restaurants.
🚇
Public transport always
We travel how locals travel — metro, bus, tram. Sitting next to the people who actually live there is half the experience..
₹
Real costs in INR
Every guide has actual numbers in Indian rupees — not vague estimates. You'll know exactly how much to budget before you book anything.
🛂
Honest visa information
Including rejections. I've had 3 visa rejections and I write about all of them. The Indian passport has limitations — I'll tell you exactly how to navigate them.
🎒
Travel as a lifestyle, not a luxury
You don't need to be rich to travel. You need to be smart. This website proves that with planning, any Indian can see the world on a budget.
